Ati-Zigi Has Been Spectacular For Us – Black Stars Coach, Otto Addo

The head coach of the Ghana Black stars, Otto Addo, has praised Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi for his great performances in Ghana’s first two games at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Last minute injuries to Ghana’s first and second choice goalkeepers, Jojo Wollacott and Richard Ofori respectively meant Ati-Zigi was given the responsibility of being the safest pair of hands for the Black Stars at the World Cup.

“I think it’s been a great tournament up to this point for him, he really did well especially in the last game, he had some great saves”, Otto Addo said in an interview with the Ghana Football Association.

Ghana’s current number 1 goalkeeper will be crucial for the team as the Black Stars prepare to face Uruguay in the last round of games on Friday evening, with a draw potentially enough to earn them qualification to the knockout phase.
