The Central Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu has rendered useless the saying of the NPP that, the flagship policy of the Free SHS education would be canceled by the next NDC administration.
According to Prof . Kofi Asiedu, the free SHS needs to be strengthened to meet a good standard of education.
He made this pronouncement during Gomoa Dominase Festival 2023 in response to the baseless and balderdash allegations made by the elephant family in the likes of HonAfenyo Markin, Hon. Solomon Quarm – Gomoa East DCE, NPPs immediate past MP- Kojo Assemenyi made a very wrong move by saying that information emanating from the Camp of NDC has it that the free SHS will be canceled but the NDC regional chairman made it clear that, palpable lie that such exaggerations come from the umbrella fraternity, adding that no single soul has disputed the relevance of FSHS education.

He stressed that he runs his own schools and has witnessed the kind of stress, hunger, and hardships these innocent Ghanaian children do go through in the journey of their education.
This development manifested at Gomoa Dominase in the Gomoa East constituency in the Central Region yesterday, the 18th Day Of February 2023, where the Central Regional Chairman, Hon. Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, and the Gomoa East Member Of Parliament (MP) Hon. Desmond De-Graft Kwesi Paitoo honored an invitation extended to them by the Chiefs (Nananom) and the people of the aforementioned town for their 2023 annual Akwambo festival.
Hon. Prof. Kofi Asiedu mounted the podium, he gave detailed reasons why NDC must be voted for in the year 2024 general elections by saying that “all the developmental projects in the area and beyond were done by the NDC and those we commenced but couldn’t complete before our exit in 2017 has been completely abandoned by this good for nothing Nana Addo/Bawumia/Kyeremanteng administration.
At the salt of l Prof. Asiedu’s speech, he promised to build bathrooms and urinals for the newly created onion market at Gomoa Dominase junction. In addition, our able Regional Chairman donated an amount of Twenty Thousand Cedis (¢20,000.00) from his own coffers. He furthermore stated that he will use his capacity as the Regional Chairman to lobby for many developmental projects for the constituency if the seat is retained for NDC He admonished the gathering that NDC is the only party that can develop Gomoa East and Ghana as a whole, he went on to state that, he takes super incompetent and insensitive government to touch individual and pensioner Bondholders monies all in the name of the debt restructuring program, meanwhile this unbearable economic catastrophe which has caused this avoidable program was deliberately caused by this NPP Akyem mafia cabal
Hon. Prof. Kofi Asiedu took the opportunity to caution the NPP gurus at the function that, “they should not try to spray cash at a program if he (Prof. Asiedu) is present”. This caution was necessitated after collectively all the NPP big wigs present made a cash donation of Twenty Thousand Cedis (20,000) with the aim of tarnishing the image of NDC that we are unmatched to them or financially poor in terms of pulling out monies, but the Regional Chairman proved to them that yes, of course, NDC is in opposition but they would get tired and abscond from the scene if they dare challenge NDC, immediately after this pronouncement from Hon. Prof. K. Asiedu, the faces of these NPP bigwigs sharply looked so unpleasant, astonished, and disgusted, because they underrated NDC…” one could easily see them looking stupid upon hearing the huge cash donation which came from the pocket of our Regional chairman.”
The MP of the Area Hon. Desmond also told the gathering that NDC must be given political power come 2024 in order to continue the good works we were doing. A cash donation of Five Thousand Cedis (¢5,000.00 was given by the Member Of Parliament, Hon. Paitoo, towards the construction of their Community Center.
Hon. Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah also gave numerous reasons why NDC must be voted back to power in 2024.
The Central Regional NDC Chairman was accompanied by his able Regional Vice Chairman, Hon. Ekow Okyere Panyin Aduamoah who was the Member Of Parliament for Gomoa East from 2009 – 2017. The Regional Chairman was heavily welcomed and led to the program by the Gomoa East Member Of Parliament (MP) Hon. Desmond Paitoo, Constituency Executives, Ward and Branch Executives, and countless party faithful.
