The Real Madrid midfielder, Luca Modric has extended his contract to stay at Real Madrid for a year.
The 37-year-old Croatian’s contract will run out on 30th June, 2023 after a previous extension last year. Fortunately for Real Madrid, the world-class midfielder has further extended his contract to stay at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for a year until 2024.
However, this has shattered rumors that purported the midfielder was going to join Christiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League for a colossal amount of money.
Modric made a move to Madrid from his former club Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 and has since won local and international trophies with the club. He has won 21 trophies including the prestigious Balon D’or in 2018 over strong competitors like Christiano Ronaldo that year.
“My idea is to continue here at Real Madrid, for sure. This club is my whole life, Real Madrid is my whole life” he stated.
Luca Modric, a 37-year-old Croatian professional footballer plays for La Liga Club Real Madrid as a Midfielder who has won five Champions League titles with the club since he joined in 2012.
