Kwabena Duffour Jr. loses by 8 votes

Kwabena Duffour Jr. has lost the race for the Parliamentary candidate of the NDC in the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency by 8 votes.

Hajia Afrah Nasira has won the parliamentary primaries by the skin of her teeth as 8 votes validates her ticket to represent the National Democratic Congress in the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency ahead of the 2024 General elections over the two Duffour blood.

After the ballots casted were sorted and counted, the Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer at the Voting Center in the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency in the Ashanti Region declared Hajia Afrah Nasira as the winner as she polled 211 votes, with Kwabena Duffour Jr. Trailing by 8 votes in a 203 votes gained and Dr. Alex Adomako Mensah his uncle who finished last gained 86 votes.

An avalanche of trends have hit the media and the political community as others are presuming Dr. Kwabena Duffour’s withdrawal and actions taken in lieu of the irregularities has accounted for his family’s loss.

Others domiciled in the constituency claim the winner, Hajia Afrah Nasira was working on the grounds whereas Kwabena Duffour Jr. didn’t even present himself at the voting centre early.

Dr. Alex Adomako Mensah, Brother of Dr. Kwabena Duffour has lost thqe elections after 11 years of incumbency.
