The fans of Espanyol trooped unto the pitch to cut short the celebration of Barcelona after beating them to win the La Liga title.
Cameras couldn’t catch the full glimpse of Barcelona’s celebration after winning the Spanish La Liga title as the enraged Espanyol fans invaded the pitch and pelted objects at the players pursuing them till the security blocked the way of the fans into the dressing room.
In a 4-1 victory over Espanyol, Barcelona have managed to win their 27th Laliga title while Xavi Hernandez also recorded his first La Liga title as a Manager as they trode over Espanyol.
Robert Lewandoski, the Polish captain broke the deadlock for the Catalans with the assist from Alejandro Balde in the 10th minute.
They continued the massacre in the derby with a second goal from the young Alejandro Balde.
Before the game could go into recess after the first half, Lewandoski found the net again after sliding in a cross from Raphina in the 40th minute.
The french national, Jules Kounde made it four for Barcelona and added to the misery of Espanyol in the 53rd minute.
Espanyol however recovered in the second half and truncated the misery J. Puado’s goal in the 73rd minute.
Celebrations continue for Barcelona in the dressing room as the fans have taken over the pitch. Robert Lewandoski has won league titles nine time in a row.
