Roberto Firmino leaves Liverpool with his last goal

Roberto Firmino left a mark at Anfeld today as he scored the equaliser for the Reds in his last game home against Aston villa.

The Brazilian forward played in the Red Jersey for the last time at Anfield as his contract runs out this season.

He did the magic for Liverpool as he scored an 89th minute equaliser to make it a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa when he came in as a substitute in the 72nd minute.

The Red Supporters welcomed Firmino with a standing ovation in the 72nd minutes as he came on to the pitch. The fans stood on their feet again after his spectacular flying volley found the net following a cross from Mohammed Salah.

He departs from the club as a player very proud of everything he achieved. His departure is not a solo exit as Naby Keita, Oxlade Chamberlain and James Milner joins the Brazilian to exit Anfield.

The striker added to his 261st appearance and 110th goal at Liverpool in his career. He leaves the club, honoured with seven medals.

After the game, he gave his departure speech and said: “in the beginning when I arrived, it was hard to adapt to the climate, the football, everything, as for every player it’s the same.”

“But thank you God, we achieved everything here, we won everything together. Without my teammates, my family the manager, you cannot do this, I’m very proud of the history, for everything we achieved together”.

He further passed comment on his emotion after scoring his last goal for the Reds. “yes, unfortunately we didn’t get the win, it wasn’t the result that you want.”

“But the last game at home with the fans, my family here, everyone, friends, I was very emotional  and happy for this, to score my last goal at home, with this shirt, this big club, I’m very happy.” He stated.
