Black Sherif’s “Oil in My Head” official video hits over 10k views in an hour

Sensational rising Ghanaian artise, Mohammad Ismalil Sherif, known by the stage name Black Sherif, has released the official video for his song “Oil in My Head” today, June 15.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ’24 Artiste of the Year” spurned breathtaking tracks last year, which brought him from obscurity as a Konongo Zongo boy to the limelight.

His “Oil in My Head” track, which comes off second on his “The Villain I Never Was” album, has been released with over 10,000 views in just over an hour.

The video is a masterpiece by America-based Empire Entertainment and Road Boys Association, the management of the artiste. It features easily relatable visuals that were interwoven with the artiste’s journey from his early days until the time he won the Artiste of the Year award. It syncs his struggles and success in a creative style that does not drift away from the style of the artiste, especially his fashionable flare style and lonely hustle.

The song constitutes one of his tracks on ” The Villain I Never Was,” which was adjudged the album of the year at the VGMAs this year.

The fantastic melodies on the album are by far the most popular songs that everyone sings to, and a few of them won him three awards, including the Artiste of the Year award at the VGMA.

All 14 tracks are solo masterpieces by Balck Sherif, with the exception of the Second Sermon remix, which features Nigerian music guru, Burna Boy.

Three songs from the album bagged awards at the 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Kwaku The Traveler won the Most Popular Song of the Year award and Hip Hop Song of the Year, and Konongo Zongo was also named the best video of the year.

Other tracks on the album include Second Sermon, We Up, 45, Oh Paradise, Sad Boys don’t fold,Konongo zongo, Kwaku the Traveller, etc.

Empire Entertainment is a renowned independent record label, distributor, and publisher that was established by Gazi Shami in 2010. They manage global artistes like Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dog, Adam Lambert, Iggy Azale, Cardi B, Kuami Eugene, etc.
