Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, has descended on the Attorney General over his failure to prosecute the Founder and General Overseer of Power Chapel Worldwide, Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, following the High Court’s verdicts, which dismissed his pursuit of refraining the Member of Parliament from discussing him in relation to the National Cathedral.
In a tweet, Ablakwa questioned the sense of morality of the Attorney General, criticizing him for remaining a member of the board of trustees and failing to prosecute Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng after the High Court declared that the two identities were separate hence his defamation suits backfired.
He questioned his conscience in his failure to prosecute him vis-Ã -vis his pursuit of the criminality of NDC Parliamentary candidate for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson, who had dual citizenship prior to his filing for nominations to contest the 2020 general elections.
“How does Godfred Dame feel sitting on the Board of the National Cathedral with Victor Kusi Boateng/Kwabena Adu Gyamfi particularly after a damning Human Rights Court Judgement that the latter’s conduct borders on criminality? Where’s Dame’s conscience as he persecutes Quayson?” He said
He further called him out to deliver impartial justice, as he is the minister for Justice and not “selective Justice”
He stated that the court recognized his investigative endeavor as pivotal to the unraveling the separate identities used by Rev. Boateng, which he alleged were used for the transfer of the sum of GH 2.6Million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, owned by Rev. Kusi Boateng under a secondary identity, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
The court dismissed the defamation suit judging that it lacked capacity and Locus standi, therefore awarding damages of GH 10,000 to Ablakwa for the second time.
the Court interpreted that the two identities, Rev.Victor Kusi Boateng and Kwame Adu Gyamfi, did not inadvertently mean two different names but were separate identities deployed for concealment of a gesture that was oblivious until Ablakwa’s expose.
