Berla Mundi’s B.You Conference 2024 Inspires Women with Wisdom, Networking, and Practical Solutions for Career Growth

The Palms Convention Centre at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel had women from all walks of life come under the umbrella of Media Personality Berla Mundi’s much-anticipated mentorship program, B.You Conference and Expo 2024, which came off on Saturday, 5th October.

The women empowerment conference organized under the theme “Hey Girl, Listen Up… Wisdom from Your Future Self” aimed to equip young ladies with invaluable wisdom, rich life experience, and practical business solutions for career advancement and self-development.

Through speeches from seasoned speakers, an interactive Q&A session, and networking opportunities, the young ladies were offered the luxury of flourishing on the nuggets they imbibed and the resourceful personalities they interacted with.

The conference featured a line-up of seasoned speakers: Technology Business Executive, Angela Kyeremanten-Jimmoh, business strategist and entrepreneur Gwen Addo, and founder and group CEO L’aine HR, Dr. Mrs. Ellen Hagan. Norvisi Sokpe, Creator of Vision with V Journal and Senior Manager of Strategy and Insights for West Africa at Danone, was also among the headline speakers, along with dentist and wife of dancehall artist Stonebwoy, Dr. Louisa Satekla, and founder of Big Samps Market, Elselund Ewudzie-Sampson.

Widely reflecting the month and season of advocacy around a feminine survival threat, breast cancer, an interaction with a health practitioner, and a booth for vital screening kept the spirit of Pink October intact as attendees were screened for free

Host Berla Mundi expressed satisfaction with the eventful gathering, which stalled for two years, but courtesy of her team’s effort and persistent calls from adherents, it eventually came off.

“We’ve been planning this, I won’t lie, for two years, and every time we plan this, for some reason, we just can’t go through with it. And my team told me that we started something we need to continue. It wasn’t just from my team but from the many messages we received online asking when the next conference will be,” she remarked.

She further deemed the conference a divine mandate to impact the lives of young girls who look up to her.

“This is my own calling. I heard it one morning when I woke up. This is going to be your way of also giving back for all the things I’ve done for you and your career. This is how you are going to impact the lives of young women who continue to look up to you,” she said.

Business strategist and entrepreneur Gwen Addo took the audience through cutting-edge marketing strategies to set their businesses lofty in their value chain.

“It’s not the nice pictures; it’s not the store. Someone may not have that much variety but will do better than you because they are communicating in the right way. When you want to sell a product, you project the problem. The moment you start communicating with people in their problem language, they give you attention,” she noted.

Technology Business Executive Angela Kyeremanten-Jimmoh highlighted vital points in goal setting and dream actualization: how to reroute oneself along the path of one’s vision and gain financial independence.

“Have your own plan; don’t wait for someone’s timetable. Set your goals: Where do I want to see myself in the next three years? In the next five years? Then break it down into different steps. In six months, I want to see myself here. If you don’t achieve it, then you know you are not on track,” she noted.

Besides the keynote speeches and Q&A session, the audience had the opportunity to network and create meaningful connections that would invariably impact their endeavors.

The event was also full of fun as Ghana’s Most Beautiful Season finalists passed through. At the tail end of the event, the intellectual resource, defining expressions, and mentorship opportunities were a perfect mix for the attendees.
