Chuba Akpom’s penalty brought the game to a tie when Josh Cullen fouled Cameron Archer, depriving the Clarets of a chance to jubilate further into the second half.
The Clarets sealed the win in the game when Roberts gave a wonderful finish in the 66th minute.
