A form 2 female student of Nsutam Senior High Technical School in Fanteakwa South district in the Eastern region has been allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend who is a barber.
Eighteen(18) year old Abigail Asare of 2 General Arts 1 class reportedly visited her boyfriend at his barbering saloon in Nsutem township Thursday, June 1, 2023 hours after the school asked the students to go on break.
Abigail’s lifeless body soaked in blood from wounds believed to be knife wounds was discovered by a customer of her boyfriend who came to the shop to barber his hair.
Alarmed by the incident, he quickly informed the Akyem-Nsutem police who also informed the Kyebi police with men from the Kyebi Divisional Police Command responding immediately to the scene.
The police conveyed the lifeless body which has been deposited at the Kyebi Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy as investigations into the incident commences.
The suspect has since fled the community as a follow-up search to his home met his absence.
It’s unclear what happened between the two in the shop which led to the suspect stabbing the young woman.
School authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
