Ajax and Ghana midfielder, Mohammed Kudus was named man of the match after an impressive performance against South Korea in Ghana’s second group game.
A nigh perfect display from the 22-year-old helped propel Ghana to their very first victory at the tournament, capping it off with a brace, the second of which happened to be the winning goal to put the Black Stars 3 – 2 up after the South Koreans rallied from 2 goals down to draw parity at 2 – 2.
The Ghanaian midfielder had two shots on target, 46 touches, 15 accurate passes, two tackles and most importantly scored a brace on the day, exuding so much passion and resilience in his second ever World Cup appearance.
Kudus becomes the first Ghanaian to score two goals in a world cup game and he stands with three goal involvements in his first two games. For a debut maker, he has been absolutely brilliant and crucial for the west African side.
