Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, alongside key leaders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the party’s Minority Caucus in Parliament, met at the Rock City Hotel in Kwahu, April 2, 2025, to reflect on past experiences and outline a strategic roadmap for victory in the 2028 general elections.
The high-level meeting saw the presence of prominent figures such as the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; Presidential Aspirant Kennedy Agyapong; Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin; and other influential party members.

According to The1957News’ sources at the meeting, discussions reportedly centered on the party’s performance in the 2024 elections, challenges faced, and measures to strengthen the NPP’s grassroots engagement ahead of 2028.

The leadership emphasized the importance of unity, policy-driven messaging, and revitalizing party structures to position the NPP as the preferred choice for Ghanaians in the next electoral cycle.

Former President Akufo-Addo, addressing the gathering, urged members to remain committed to the party’s ideals and work towards restoring the NPP’s electoral dominance.
