Manchester City’s goal machine, Erling Haaland has been named the Player of the Season and the Young Player of the Season in the English Premier league after a record-breakibg debut campaign with 36 goals.
The Norwegian striker won the Youngest Player of the Season as well and has set the record of being the first Premier League Player to win both awards in a single campaign.
So far, he has 51 goals to his name out of 45 games in all competitiona this season. The Cityzen’s striker broke the nearly three decades record of Alan Shearer by scoring 36 goals out of 34 games, the first in the Premier league.
After votes were casted by a panel of football experts, captains of each team in the Premier League and the public, he polled more votes as against his teammate Kevin De Bruyne, Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier.

Manchester City has secured the award for seasons in a row with Kevin De Bruyne taking the honour in 2019-20 and 2021-22 and Ruben Dias in 2020-21.
The Norwegian remains a favourite for the most coveted and touted football award, the Ballon d’or as he has clinched the Young Player of the year award by the English Premier league which adds up to his Footballer of the Year Award, Premier League title and he looks forward to lifting the Championship League against Inter Milan at Instabul as well as the FA Cup against rival derby Manchester United.
