Real Madrid’s Striker, Marco Asensio leaves Santiago Bernabeu today as he has rejected a contract renewal after it run out this season.
The club has come out with an official communique expressing their profound gratitude to the Striker and wishing him well as he moves on to a new club.
“Real Madrid wants to express their gratitude and affection to Marco Asensio, a player who has defended our shield and our shirt for seven seasons. ”
“He arrived at Real Madrid when he was only 20 years old and has managed to enter the history of our club as part of a team that has starred in one of our most successful times. “
“Marco Asensio has won 17 titles at Real Madrid: 3 European Cups, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups.”
The Striker is tipped to join French side Paris Saint Germain next season as a free agent. He affectionately expresed his gratitude to the fans caches, management, fellow players, his family and the pitch which he nicknamed “My Garden”.

The Club’s management were in talks with the Spaniard’s agent Jorge Mendes and José Ángel Sánchez, since December last year for an extension of contract but the star has decided to move onto a new club.
The striker is leaving on the note of not being a priority after Carlo Ancelotti’s promise of he being fundamental has proved otherwise. He has been coming off the bench in most games for the White Angels after he waited till the season expired even when he was a free agent.
The star has wide options as Top flight teams from Europe, thus Italy and England are approaching him. He will be assessing the the offers on the table and choose his preferred club.
Marco Asensio joined Real Madrid in 2014 from Real Mallorca and has since produced 62 goals out of 312 matches with 14 goals for Los Blacos this season.
