Nicki Minaj allegedly sued for damaging borrowed jewelry

American rapper Onika Tanya Maraj, popularly known as Nicki Minaj, has been sued by Rosearrk Jewellery for damaging and failing to honor timely returns of jewelry borrowed through her stylist, Brett Alan Nelson.

According to TMZ, a West Hollywood jewelry store, Rosearrk Jewellery, has sued the Trinidadian-born singer after her stylist failed to return jewelry that was borrowed for a public appearance on time.

The jewelry store claims it signed a standard transaction with Brett Alan Nelson for 66 pieces of jewelry, which included him incurring costs for any damage under his watch.

The stylist failed to return the luxury goods on the agreed one-week deadline, and after he returned them, there was noticeable damage to two of the jewelry items: a leaf ring and an earring.

Rosearrk Jewelry says it sent invoices to Brett Alan Nelson for the damages in question, which cost a total of $26,239.50 plus interest. However, despite the attempts to reclaim the money, they have proved futile.

However, Nicki Minaj’s lawyer has refuted the claims and deemed them an attempt by the jewelry store to gain publicity. “We have not been presented with any evidence that any of the jewelry at issue was damaged by Nicki. This lawsuit appears to be nothing more than an ordinary insurance claim by the jeweler designed to generate publicity for itself and extract a payment to which it is not entitled. We will defend the lawsuit vigorously.”luxury goods store located in the heart of Los Angeles featuring new fashion for the fingers, ears, arms, body and home.” He stated.

The American star hinted on social media that she will be dropping her new album this year which she started working on in 2020.
