Takeoff’s suspect indicted with murder charges

Patrick Xavier Clark has been indicted by the  Haris County Jury for the murder of the Late Migos rapper Takeoff who died at the Downtown House 1 November last year.

Patrick Xavier Clark was indicted yesterday, Thursday morning by a Grand Jury in the Harris County Court for the Georgian Musician’s murder who was shot and killed in Houston at a bowling party in downtown with other two injured during a shootout.

Clark was indicted with murder charge as the Police confirmed he was identified as the suspected shooter. With the aid of surveillance footage, cell phone videos and fingerprints from a ditched wine bottle which was found in a nearby House of blues which he allegedly held during the shootout, the Police established him as the suspect.

Rap Alert

Clark was arrested in December last year by Houston Police and was subsequently released on a $1 million bail after his defense counsel argued for the previous bail of $2milliom dollars to be reduced.

Per the bond conditions, he is expected to remain under house arrest with the exception of dentist and doctor’s appointment and meeting his attorney and bail bond company. He shall wear a GPS monitoring device which shall notify the Court, Harris County Pretrial Services, Defense counsel and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office once he attempts any violation regarding the bond which includes device tampering, failure to properly charge the device, or house arrest violations.”

In a statement, Clark’s attorney Letitia Quinones-Hollins said, “Today’s action by the grand jury is not unexpected. We would ask people to remember that getting an indictment requires meeting a very, very minimal standard of proof. When we get inside a courtroom and in front of a jury, where we will be able to put on our evidence and cross-examine the state’s witnesses – where the standard of proof is guilt beyond reasonable doubt – we expect the jury will come back with a verdict of not guilty.”

Kirsnick Khari Ball popularly known as Takeoff died after he suffered gunwounds in his head and torso following a shootout that took place at private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston, Downtown. According to the Police, the shooting occurred following a dice game. However, Takeoff was innocent as he was just a bystander
