Too much Sex provides fertile grounds for prostate cancer –Health Expert

A renowned Doctor, Charity Twumasi Ankrah has admonished men to eschew the habit of too much sex because it often puts men at risk of developing cancer.

She added that too much ejaculation often can predispose one to prostate cancer.

Dr. Charity Twumasi-Ankrah revealed this shocking revelation on Joy Prime’s morning show segment, Good Living.

In her views, Dr Twumasi-Ankrah, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chartma Herbal Health Centre, said men release about 400 million cells equivalent to one pint of blood per ejaculation. It is against this background that men ought to dwindle the rate with which they have sex.

According to her, engaging in sex twice a week is good enough for men’s health to avoid the risk of prostate cancer.

“I keep telling men that too much of everything is bad. And you know as a man, if you ejaculate, it contains 400 million cells. So if man just walks into a room with a woman and they have sex, he brings out 400 million cells. Now if the gland is overused, the possibility that it will cause prostate cancer is high. So at least do it twice a week. It’s ok. Don’t kill yourself,” she advised.

What is Prostate Cancer?

Prostate cancer is cancer that occurs in the prostate. The prostate is a small walnut-shaped gland in males that produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. Many prostate cancers grow slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where they may not cause serious harm. However, while some types of prostate cancer grow slowly and may need minimal or even no treatment, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly.

Prostate cancer that’s detected early — when it’s still confined to the prostate gland — has the best chance for successful treatment

She stressed that too much sex also makes men be too feeble in their younger age beyond the risk of prostrate cancer.

“Prostrate cancer has become a major health concern for men as the number of patients soars in the country. Hitherto, prostrate cancer affected only the elderly but these days, it affects younger men too.”
