The Ghana National women’s U-20 team, the Black Princesses will commence their U-20 World Cup campaign against their USA counterparts in their group D opening game at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
The Black Princesses will be hoping to get off the mark in their very first game, with group stage games against The Netherlands and Japan also in line.
The game will kickoff at 11:00 local time (5pm Ghana time) and will be officiated by Australian female referee Lara Lee.
Ghana has failed to advance from the group stages in the last 5 editions of the U20 women’s World Cup, finishing 3rd in group A behind host nation France and the Netherlands in the last campaign with just a single victory.
With second place being the best finish by an African country at the tournament, all of Africa will be rallying behind the continents representatives, Ghana and 2 time runners up, Nigeria.
