We are not campaigning for power; we are working for change, for the future of our dear nation. – Alan’s running mate asserts

Vice Presidential Candidate of the Movement for Change/Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Kwame Owusu Danso Esq., has profoundly asserted that the Alan Kyeremanten ticket is not campaigning for power but working for change, for the future of Ghana.

He made this profound statement during his unveiling, which was held at the Ghana International Press Center, Accra, on September 20th, hours later, where their agent secured the 13th and last spot on the ballot paper at the Electoral Commission’s office.

Mr. Danso, in his acceptance speech, took a swipe at Vice President and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for running down Ghana’s economy, contrary to being touted as the economic messiah to remedy the downturn in 2016. “Dr Bawumia, the highly touted economic whiz kid, was introduced to us as the man who had the answers and the magic wand to bring discipline and structure to an ailing economy in 2016, Yet today, under his leadership, the economy is teetering on the brink of collapse, with the cedi in free fall and prices of basic commodities skyrocketing beyond the reach of the average Ghanaian.” He said.

In furtherance of this statement, he begged the question why Dr. Bawumia is campaigning under the “it is possible” mantra when the exchange rate is at a sickening point, worse than the NPP inherited it in 2016.

“Today, the same economic wizard is seeking to become the President while telling us it is possible. The question is, what is possible? The possibility of the dollar rate reaching 50 Ghana cedis by the end of his first term?” He stated.

KOD empathized with struggling businesses due to the volatile economic climate, especially SMEs who unconscionably fulfill draconian taxes and high interest rates. The ripple effect of the economic mismanagement crippling foreign direct investment was hammered, discrediting the candidacy of Bawumia. “The same man who promised stability has delivered chaos,” he noted.

He in turn urged Ghanaians to choose the movement for change as the ticket with a vision and the focus on job creation while they reject the NPP’s “empty promises” and every other leader seeking their parochial interest.

“We cannot continue to accept leaders who put their personal interests ahead of the well-being of the people. We need a new vision, one that focuses on job creation, economic empowerment, and sustainable growth. We have a clear alternative now, and that is the Movement for Change. Alan Kyerematen is not just a politician; he is a visionary with a proven track record. This is our time. Together, we will rebuild our nation with hope, courage, perseverance, and resolve. Movement for Change, Ghana will rise again!” He remarked.

The unveiling was a moment that seasoned the Movement for Change’s campaign with youthful and charismatic sense, a promise by Alan Kyeremanten to run his campaign with the youth.
